Hillman Lam is an Adjunct Professor at Baruch College's Steven L. Newman Real Estate Institute, where he teaches real estate finance and the Argus DCF valuation program. Hillman has over five years of commercial real estate experience, including his former role in acquisitions and development for Time Equities, Inc. His skills include acquisitions, development/redevelopment, asset/property management, capital financing, and disposition. He was formerly an appraiser at Hudson View Appraisals and worked in retail leasing at Robert K. Futterman & Associates.
He received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Finance (CUNY BA) from Baruch College and is pursuing the professional CCIM Designation. He was also the valedictorian when he received his "Certificate in Real Estate" from the Steven L. Newman Real Estate Institute.
Hillman participated as a team member of "REAP NY" in winning the real estate development competition “Deal No Deal” at the Global Diversity Summit. His professional affiliations include membership in NAIOP, ULI, and ICSC.
He volunteers at City Meals on Wheels, the Baruch College Alumni Association, and is a Board of Director at the Chinese American Real Estate Association (CAREA).
